A BILL to amend article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section sixty-
four, relating to special use fishing permits for designated
stream sections.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
sixty-four, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
ยง20-2-64. Special use permits for fishing designated stream
sections under special restoration management.
On or after the first day of January, one thousand nine
hundred ninety-five, a special use permit shall be required to
fish within specified areas designated by the director of the
division of natural resources for special management. Suchspecial use permit shall be for a specified period of time and
subject to the rules of the director. The fee for this special
permit may not exceed three dollars per day. This special permit
is in addition to any other licenses or permits required by this
article.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to allow the director to
collect special fees for fishing on streams with special
management programs.
